It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 31st May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be  widespread in Upper Sagaing,Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern  Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Eastern & Southern)Shan , Kayah and Kayin States, with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.
