10-1-2026: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 855 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 270 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards, weaken into a Depression and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 4th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, fairly widespread in Bago and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, isolated in Magway Region, (East and  South)Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely attimes  Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon and Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 8) feet in Gulf of Mottama, Mon and Taninthayi Coasts, about (3 - 5)feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
