7-1-2026 According to the observations at 18:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwest. It is centered at about 645 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 420 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 605 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay,  partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Rakhine State, isolated in Lower Sagaing and  Mandalay Regions, (Northern and Eastern )Shan State with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Paung (2.72)inches, Dawei (2.47)inches, Launglone (2.28)inches, Shanywarthit (2.23)inches, Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri) and Mudon (2.00)inches each, Kyeikkhame (1.85)inches, Chaungsone (1.73)inches, Myeik (1.50)inches and Zayarthiri(Theikchaung) (1.46)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, isolated in (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon and Taninthayi Coasts, about (4 - 6)feet in Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increased of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
