16-2-2026: According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, thewell markedlow pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northeast Sri Lanka off Tamilnadu coast still persists. It is likely to move northwestwards and reach toTamilnadu-Puducherry Coasts (India) during next (18)hrs and then move West-Northwestwards cross Tamilnadu-Puducherry (India).
