7-1-2026 According to the observations at 18:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwest. It is centered at about 645 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 420 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 605 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A Moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.2) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Bay of Bengal), latitude 19.15 °N, longitude 89.76 °E, depth (21) kilometers, about (214) miles southwest of Sittwe seismological observatory was recorded at (09) hr (32) min (55) sec M.S.T on 5th December, 2022.
