2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coast and (4 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.
