8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Northern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (14.13)inches, Tamu (4.02)inches, Myauk U (2.60)inches, Paletwa (2.48)inches, Phyarpon (2.41)inches, Hmawbi (2.28)inches, Yangon(Kaba-aye) (2.20) inches, Kyauktaw and Kamamaung (2.14)inches each, Thandwe (2.01)inches, Central Yangon and Myawady (1.97)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Ayeayrwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic and along Rakhine Coast and (4 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and along  Mon - Taninthayi Coast.
