SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan( East & South), Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Zaungtu (6.18) inches, Maungdaw (4.68)inches, Theinzayet (4.13)inches, Manaung (3.50)inches, Katha (3.46)inches, North Dagon(3.11)inches, Pauk and Hmawbi (2.63)inches each, Singu (2.60)inches, Yangon (Mingaladon) and Myeik (2.05)inches each, Myingyan (2.01)inches and Myinmu(1.97)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
