 24-7-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move towards West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coasts, India during next 36 hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan State and widespread in and Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
