24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 7th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayah and Mon States and widespread in Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions, Shan and Rakhine States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States.
