29-10-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed Andhra Pradesh Coast, near South Kakinada, India. It is likely continue to move Northwestwards and downgrade into a Cyclonic Storm during next 6 hours and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Depression that crossed to the interior regions of the South of Kolkata(India) has moved west- northwestwards and it is continuing to cross the interior regions of India.

Forecast

It is likely continue to move west-northwestwards and cross West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha and Jharkhand during next 24 hours.

Due to the depression and vigorous monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States from tonight to 28-7-2025.

Frequent squalls with very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 45 mph. Wave height will be about 14-16 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Occasional squalls with rough to very rough sea will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10-14 feet in in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
