SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, scattered in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above April average temperature in Rakhine State, (2°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Aunglan and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (2.36)inches, Myeik (1.57)inches, Nyaungshwe (0.83)inch, Myawaddy (0.71)inch, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (0.63)inch, Naypyitaw (Otarathiri) (0.35)inch, Tamu (0.28)inch and Kyaukse (0.20)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few clouds over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.
