SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin and Eastern Shan States and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Kayin States, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) below March average temperature in Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below March average temperature in Northern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) each in Chauk, Taunggu, Shwekyin, Phyu, Hinthada and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kengtung (0.59)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Sri Lanka and Maldives– Comorin area concentrated into a depression over Southeast of Arabian Sea and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Central Myanmar areas.
