23-2-2026:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal now lies over South Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move Northeastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

   The water levels of Ayeyarwady River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (2-3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, and to fall below the present water levels by about (1-3) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

   The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (2-3) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin and to fall below the present water levels by about (1-2) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
