8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 370 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 440 Nautical miles West  of  Thandwe (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 105 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 100 Nautical miles South of Paradip and 190 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for Third (10) days of November 2019

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (1-2½) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and Nyaung Oo, and to rise above the present water levels by about (½-1) foot at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

          The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (1-1½) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
