19-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours.  Weather is  partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

          The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (3-5) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu, and about (1-3) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

          The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (3-5) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik and Kalewa, and about (1-3) feet at Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
