27-7-2024: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha, India has weaken into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First (10) days of September 2017

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (4 - 7) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, about (2 - 4) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and NyaungOo, and forecast to fall about (3 – 5) feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of September.

 The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (6 - 8) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (3- 5) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of September.
