27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First (10) days of August, 2017

 The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (4 - 7) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, about (1 - 3) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu,  Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway,  Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of August.

The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (5 - 7) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (2- 4) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of August.
