Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal Condition

According to the observations at (09:30) hrs M.S.T today, due to the unstable atmospheric condition, a low pressure area may form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea around 18-5-2024. It is likely to intensify into a Depression.
Currently, the low pressure area has not yet started to form, so movement of the system are varying in accordance with the observation times, data and models. The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology will issue the simultaneous forecasts.
