Cyclonic Storm
According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm (PHETHAI) over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and weakened in to a Cyclonic Storm (PHETHAI). It is centered at about (200)miles North-Northeast of Chennai (India), about (65) miles East-Southeast of Machilipatnam and about (70) miles South of Kakinada.
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm is coded yellow stage.

Cyclonic Storm is located at Latitude (15.8)degree North and Longitude (82.2) degree East, centre pressure of Severe Cyclonic Storm is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (50) miles per hour.

It is continuously move to Northwards and forecast to cross Andhra Pradesh Coast(India) during next (12)hrs.
General caution
Due to the Cyclonic Storm, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in the Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Rakhine States within next (48) hours commencing noon today.
Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
