Cyclonic Storm “GULAB”

According to the observations at (22:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “GULAB” over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bangal has moved Westwards and crossing the North Andhrapradesh - South Odisha Coasts between Kalingapatnam and Gopalpur, India. It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and weaken into a deep depression during next (6) hours.

General caution

Due to the Cyclonic Storm “GULAB”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with regionally heavyfalls to isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States during next (24)hrs comancing today evening. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Due to the Cyclonic Storm “GULAB”, people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind and lightning and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
