Cyclonic Storm

According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” has moved North-Northwestwards and centered at about (485) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island, (540) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (195) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (255)Nautical miles South of Gopalpur and (330)Nautical miles South- Southwest of Paradip (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is coded yellow stage.

            Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is located at Latitude (15.0) degree North and Longitude (85.1) degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is (1000) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40-45) miles per hour at (18:30) hrs MST today.

During next (48) hrs forecast

The Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is likely continuous to move North-Northwestwards and reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal (off North Andrapradesh- South Odisha Coasts, India) around (4.12.2021) and then forecast to recurve North-Northeastwards through the Odisha Coast and reach near Puri, India and continuous to move North-Northeastwards and reach West Bengal coast, India.

General caution

            Due to the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD”, squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
