30-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Cyclonic Storm

            According to the observations at (21:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwest Bay of Bengal and intensified into a Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) and it is centered at about (215) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and about (430) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Kanyakumari (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) is coded yellow stage.

            Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) is located at Latitude (7.9) degree North and Longitude (84.8) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (999) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40)miles per hour at (21:30) hrs MST today.

            The Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Sri Lanka coasts near Trincomalee on the night of (2.12.2020).
