Cyclonic Storm

According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” over the West central Bay of Bengal has moved slight Northwards and centered at about (510) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island, (550) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (125) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (185)Nautical miles South of Gopalpur, (220)Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puri and (265)Nautical miles South- Southwest of Paradip (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is coded yellow stage.

            Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is located at Latitude (16.2) degree North and Longitude (84.8) degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is (1000) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45) miles per hour at (10:30) hrs MST today.

During next (36) hrs forecast

The Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” is likely to move Northwards during next (12)hrs and then North-Northwestward along Odisha coast reaching near Puri around (5.12.21) as a Deep Depression. It is likely to weak further and continue to move North-Northeastwards along Odisha Coast towards West Bengal coast, India.

General caution

            Due to the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD”, rain or thundershowers will be isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States during next (72) hrs and squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

              Due to the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD”, people should be aware strong wind and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
