SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (8.70)inches, Dawei (7.52) inches, Thandwe (7.08)inches, Launglon (6.18)inches, Hainggyigyun (4.53)inches, Labutta (4.49)inches, Shwegone (3.96)inches, Manaung (3.27)inches, Phyarpon (2.72)inches, Kawthaung (2.52) inches, Hlaingbwe and Thaton (2.40)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Bago and Yangon Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
