It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (8.70)inches, Dawei (7.52) inches, Thandwe (7.08)inches, Launglon (6.18)inches, Hainggyigyun (4.53)inches, Labutta (4.49)inches, Shwegone (3.96)inches, Manaung (3.27)inches, Phyarpon (2.72)inches, Kawthaung (2.52) inches, Hlaingbwe and Thaton (2.40)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
