25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawkareik and Mudon (3.70)inches each, Dawei (3.66)inches, Chaungsone (3.07)inches, Putao (2.95)inches, Homalin (2.87)inches, Yay (2.80)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.64)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (2.40)inches, Kyeikmayaw and Launglon (2.36)inches each, Gwa (2.32)inches, Myeik (2.24)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.21)inches, Kyeikdon (2.16)inches and Hpa-an (2.09)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coast and near West Bengal Coast(India) still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th AUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayin States.
