SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan State, (3°C) above January average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region, Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Ramthlo, (4°C) in Putao, (5°C) each in Heho and Tiddim and (6°C) each in Thipaw, Naungcho, Loilin, Matupi, Tongzan, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th January, 2019: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Myanmar areas.
