17-2-2026:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Kayin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were about February average temperatures in the whole country. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Pinlaung and Hakha, (5°C) in Heho and (6°C) each in Namsam and Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawkayeit (0.08)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Southwest Bay and generally fair in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th February, 2015: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State and weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
