SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Kayah State with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (3.74)inches, Pathein (2.17)inches, Paung (1.85)inches, Hpa-an (1.65)inches, Putao (1.57)inches, Tatkon (1.10)inches and Labutta (1.02) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is generally moderate over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, fairly widespread in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Kayah States.
