8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 370 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 440 Nautical miles West  of  Thandwe (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 105 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 100 Nautical miles South of Paradip and 190 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th May, 2015: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kayah and Kayin States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
