BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-11)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
