 27-8-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Northwest  Bay of Bengal (Odisha Coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move slowly West–Northwestwards and across Odisha, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-11)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States.
