SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Rakhine State, (5°C) above January average temperature in Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayin States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region and Kayah State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) each in Putao and Hakha, (4°C) each in Namsam and Heho, (5°C) each in Loilin, Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke and (6°C) each in Machanbaw and Thipaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded in Kawthaung (0.87)inch, Kawkareik (0.24)inch and Kengtung (0.20)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th JANUARY, 2018: Rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
