 Deep Depression Condition

            According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved Northwestwards and reached over Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 845 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 420 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).

It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.

The Deep Depression is located at Latitude 6.9 degree North and Longitude 83.3 degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1004 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour at 05:30 hrs MST today.
