Deep Depression  Condition

            According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India).

It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.

Position of Deep Depression, center pressure and wind

The Deep Depression is located at Latitude 12.9 degree North and Longitude 80.6 degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1002 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 40 miles per hour at 10:30 hrs MST today.

Next 24 hours forecast

It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. 

General Caution

          Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Advisory

People should be awared due to the Deep Depression domestic aviation, near-shore and offshore fishing vessels, and ships off and along Myanmar coasts and offshore are also advised to take precautions.
