30-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

            According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the EastcentralBay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about (250) Nautical miles Northwestof Coco Island, about (290) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), about (290) Nautical miles Southeast of Paradip, about (335) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha(India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of Deep Depression, center pressure and wind

            Deep Depression is located at Latitude (16.4) degree North and Longitude (89.7) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40) miles per hour at (18:30) hrs MST today.

During next (36) hrs Forecast

            The Deep Depression is likely to move slowly North-Northwestwards and forecast to intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next (12)hrs and Severe Cyclonic Storm during next (36) hrs.

General caution

Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, Yangon and AyeyarwadyRegions, Rakhine States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and AyeyarwadyRegions, Rakhine State during next (48)hrs commencing today morning. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
