According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal(West Bengal, India- Bangladesh Coasts) crossed West Bengal, India- Bangladesh Coasts between Sargar Island and Khepupara.
Forecast
It is likely continue to move North-Northeastwards and weaken into a Depression during next 18 hours.
Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls during today evening to 2-6-2025.
Frequent squalls with very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 14-16 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Occasional squalls with rough to very rough sea will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10-14 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
