Deep Depression

According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining South Bay of Bengal has moved North- Northwestwars and reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (430) Nautical miles West of Coco-Island, (500) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (270) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (320)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur and (415)Nautical miles South- Southwest of Paradip (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of deep depression, center pressure and wind

Deep depression is located at Latitude (14.0) degree North and Longitude (86.0) degree East, centre pressure of deep depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (35) miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.

 During next (24) hrs forecast

The deep depression is contuinous to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next (6)hrs. It is likely to reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal (off North Andrapradesh- South Odisha Coasts, India) around (4.12.2021).

General caution

 Due to the deep depression, Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Due to the deep depression, people should be aware strong wind and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
