According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression West Bengal, India- Bangladesh Coasts between Sargar Island and Khepupara has moved Northeastwards and continous crossing the interior regions of the Southwest of Mongla(Bangladesh).

Forecast

It is likely continue to move Northeastwards and gradually weaken into a Depression.

Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls during tonight to 2-6-2025.

 Frequent squalls with very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height

will be about 14-16 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Occasional squalls with rough to very rough sea will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10-14 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

 People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
