30-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs.   Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

          According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and it is centered at about (30) miles South-Southwest of Digha and (35) miles Southeast of Blasore (India). It is continue to move Northwestwards.

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.

 Position of deep depression, center pressure and wind

          Deep depression is located at Latitude (21.1) degree North and Longitude (87.4) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (994)hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45)miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.

During next (12)hrs Forecast

          The deep depression may cross North Odisha coast (India) near Blasore during next (12)hrs.

General caution

Due to the deep depression, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls and strong wind in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls and strong wind in Naypyitaw and Taninthayi Region.

Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-15) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

            Under the influence of the deep depression, people should be awared of strong wind, heavy rain, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar coasts.
