Deep Depression
According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bangal has moved Westwards and centered at about (260) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, (340) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Gwa, (355) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (165) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Paradip and (225) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of deep depression, center pressure and wind
Deep depression is located at Latitude (18.4) degree North and Longitude (88.7) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (998) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45) miles per hour at (18:30) hrs MST today.
During next (48) hrs forecast
The deep depression is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (6)hrs and will move Westwards and cross near North Andhrapradesh - South Odisha Coasts(India) during next (48)hrs.
General caution
Due to the deep depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with regionally heavyfalls to isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States during next (48)hrs comancing today evening. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
