24-5-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and now lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (275) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (310) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun, (340) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar), (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (350) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (380) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression

            According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm(PHETHAI) crossed near Tuni, Andhra Pradesh Coast(India), weaken into a Depression. It is continuously move North-Northeastwards and weaken gradually.

 

General caution

                Due to the remanents of Depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in the Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Rakhine States within next (36)hours commencing morning today.
