24-10-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southeast and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal on 25-10-2025 and further into a Deep Depression on 26-10-2025 and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Condition of Depression

            According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northwest Bay od Bengal off South Odisha Coast(India) has moved Northeast  and its centered at about (50)miles South of Paradip and (140)miles South- Southwest  of  Digha  (India).

As it is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, Center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (19.5) degree North and Longitude (86.3) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1005) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30) miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.

Next (12)hours Forecast

            It is moving Northeastwards and is forecast to weaken into a low pressure area during next (12)hours.

Under the influence of depression, , scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region Chin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan and Rakhine States.          

Advisory

Trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts are advised especially to notice  in condition of the depression.
