Depression
According to the observations at (14:30)hrs M.S.T today, the well markedlow pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, North Andaman Sea moved West-Northwestwards and concentrated into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (145) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Islands, (250) Nautical miles Southwest ofHainggyigyun, (360) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Thandwe(Myanamr), (140) Nautical miles Northwest of Port Blair, (525) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island(India) and (560) Nautical miles South of Barisal(Bangladesh).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.

The Depression is located at Latitude (13.4) degree North and Longitude (91.0) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1007) hPaand maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour at (13:30)hrs MST today.
During next (72) hrs forecast
It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a Deep Depression over Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal around (23.10.2022) and then recurveto North-Northeastwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over Central Bay of Bengal around (24.10.2022)and cross Bangladesh Coasts around (25.10.2022).
General caution
Due to the Depression, likelihood of rain or thundershowers fairly widespread to widespread in Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States and isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Shan, Kayah, Kayin States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States from today afternoon to (26.10.2022). Frequently squall with rough seas will be experiencedoff and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40-45) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
