According to the observations at (03:30)hrsM.S.T today, theDeep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal  moved Southwestwards and weaken into a Depression. It is centered at about (665) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco-Island, (750) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (185)Nautical miles North-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka), (150) Nautical milesEast-Northeast of Nagapattinam, (150) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry and (150) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

 

Position of Depression, center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (11.5) degree North and Longitude (82.3) degree East, centre pressure of deep depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour at (03:30)hrs M.S.T today.

 

During next (36) hrs Forecast

The depression is contuinous to move Southwestwardstowards NorthTamilNaduCoast and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next (36) hours.
