Depression

According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal moved West Northwestwards. It is centered at about (385) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco-Island, (475) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (380) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (420)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur and (465)Nautical miles South of Paradip(India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (12.5) degree North and Longitude (87.0) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.

During next (48) hrs Forecast

The depression is contuinous to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over Central Bay of Bengal during next (24)hrs. It is likely to reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal (off North Andrapradesh- South Odisha Coasts, India) around (4.12.2021)

 

General caution

            Due to the depression, Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Due to the depression,people should be aware strong wind and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along MyanmarCoasts.
