 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 09:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression that crossed to the interior regions of the Southwest of Dhaka (Bangladesh) has moved North- Northeastwards and weakened into a Depression. It is continuing to cross the interior regions of the Northwest of Dhaka (Bangladesh). Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Depression

According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean  moved west­northwestwards  has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (775) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island, (890) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (230) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (385) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Nagapattinam, (445)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry and (490)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, center pressure and wind

 Depression is located at Latitude (5.6) degree North and Longitude (83.7) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (12:30)hour MST today. .

During next (48) hrs Forecast

The depression is contuinous to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression. It is likely to reach coast of Sri Lanka towards north Tamil Nadu Coast during next 48 hours.
