Depression Condition
According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and is centered at about (475) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyi, (505) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe, (475) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), (285) Nautical miles South of Paradip, (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha (India), (450) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of Depression, center pressure and wind
Deep Depression is located at Latitude (15.6) degree North and Longitude (86.1) degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1006) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30) miles per hour at (17:30) hrs MST today.
During next (96) hrs forecast
The Depression is likely continuous to move Northwards and further intensify into a deep depression during next (6) hrs. Then recurve and move North-Northeastwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next (36) hrs. It is likely to move towards Bangladesh coast on (25.10.2023).
General caution
Due to the depression, Rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine States with isolated heavy falls in some Regions and States from tonight to (25.10.2023).
Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast from tonight to (25.10.2023).

Under the influence of the Depression, people should be awared of strong wind, heavy rain, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
