2-12-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has weaken into a Depression now lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Westcentral Bay, North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island(Myanmar), 70 Nautical miles North-Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 15 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely continue to move slowly Southwestwards towards the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, India and weaken gradually into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. Weather is cloudy over the Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression

According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depressionover Southwest Bay of Bengaland adjoning West central Bay of Bengal has moved Northwest and it is centered at about (760) Nautical miles West – Southwest of Coco Island and (830)Nautical miles West – Southwest of Hainggyikyun(Myanmar), (15) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and (65)Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry(India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (12.9) degree North and Longitude (80.4) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1000) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (17:30) hrs MST today.

During next (6) hrs Forecast

The depression is forecast continuous to move Northwestwards and cross North Tamilnadu Coast and adjoining Sout Andhra PradeshCoastnear Chennai (India) around tonight.

General caution

Due to the depression, likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, KayahStates during commencing tonigt to next (36)hrs.
