Depression
According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean moved northnorthwestwards . It is centered at about (695) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island, (795) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (100) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (205) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagapattinam, (250)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry and (285)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Depression is located at Latitude (9.0) degree North and Longitude (82.8) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today.

The depression is contuinous to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression during next (9) hours. It is likely to reach coast of Sri Lanka towards north Tamil Nadu Coast during next (48) hours.
